The Summerlin community features over 250 parks that contribute to its residents’ active lifestyle. It would be a shame not to take advantage of these parks’ beauty and amenities, and what better excuse to take the family out to enjoy fresh air than to take a family picnic?
The following are among Summerlin’s best that you’ll want to consider visiting:
Fox Hill Park
This park is considered one of the best that Summerlin has to offer. It features a variety of interactive play structures for adults and children to enjoy. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, it features “a 32-foot climbing tower, a ‘live wire’ zip line, a giant climbing structure known as The Orange Beast, a frisbee golf course, a variety of colorful balls in all sizes perfect for climbing, grass mounds for free play, custom swings, a custom climbing fort and a spinning machine.” So vivacious and captivating are these structures that they make the park akin to an outdoor amusement park.
Exploration Peak Park
With its play structures, old-western-style village, and seemingly endless distances of gorgeous views, Exploration Peak Park is a great place for visitors of all ages. It surrounds Exploration Peak, a desired place for hikers, bikers, and nature-lovers. Other features include a water play area with spray jets, a covered wagon play structure, an Indian village with web teepee climber, and archaeology dig site, horseshoe pit, outdoor amphitheater, walking trails, and picnic areas.
